Principles and Practices of Deep Transformation

The course is led by Jeremy Lent, author of The Web Of Meaning. Once we shift our worldview, another world becomes possible

The only way we can truly change our trajectory is by approaching society’s problems from the foundation of an alternative worldview—one that affirms life, rather than the accumulation of wealth above all else.

This worldview already exists: it is one of deep interconnectedness, which integrates the findings of modern systems thinking, evolutionary biology, and cognitive neuroscience with insights from Buddhism, Taoism, and Indigenous knowledge.

Ultimately, this worldview could serve as the basis for a fundamentally different type of society: an ecological civilization.

FRITJOF CAPRA

A Vienna-born physicist and systems theorist, Capra served as professor (1995–2020) at the Berkeley-based Center for Ecoliteracy, which he founded.
He is a Fellow of Schumacher College, and serves on the Council of Earth Charter International.

Capra's first book published in 1975, The Tao of Physics,

Since then, he has published many books, i.e. The Turning Point (1982), The Web of Life (1996), The Hidden Connections (2002), The Science of Leonardo (2007), Learning from Leonardo (2013), and Patterns of Connection (2021).
